CHATTOGRAM, Dec 4: The first domestic and international scientific conference was held with the participation of domestic and foreign researchers.
Chittagong Medical University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Omar Faruk Yusuf was present as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the 'SMCH Summit-2025' organized by Southern Medical College on Thursday.
Director General of the Department of Health Education Prof Dr. Nazmul Hossain was present as the special guest.
At this time, domestic and foreign researchers presented about 61 research papers on health education, medical curriculum, accreditation, information and technology, medicine, surgery, gynecology, child health, liver, heart disease, eye, public health, geriatric diseases, microbiology, basic medicine and other topics of medical science at the event.
Besides, four international researchers from Indonesia, Korea, America and London presented their research papers.
At the event, students of Southern Medical College presented the scientific project 'Next Generation Innovators' combining medical science and information technology.
A good number of renowned medical scientists of Bangladesh presented research papers.
