Classmates among 3 remanded

A Dhaka court has granted varying periods of remand for three accused, including two classmates, in connection with the alleged gang rape of a law student from Gono Bishwabidyalay (Gono University).

The order was issued by Senior Judicial Magistrate Tajul Islam Sohag on Thursday (December 4), following a hearing on the case filed at Ashulia Police Station. However, the remand hearing for a fourth suspect, Delwar Bhuiyan, has been scheduled for Sunday.
The accused granted remand are:Tajul Islam Taj (Classmate), Sraban Saha Utsho (Classmate), Antu Dewan (Senior student).

Taj and Utsho were granted a three-day remand, while Dewan was given a two-day remand. During the proceedings, police presented the accused before the court.
