Youth crushed under train in Khulna

A young man was killed early Wednesday after being run over by a train in the Daulatpur rail gate area of Khulna city.

The deceased has been identified as Touhidur Rahman, 25, was crossing the railway line when a Khulna-bound passenger train from Chilahati hit him, killing him on the spot.

Azad Rahman, in-charge of the Daulatpur Railway Outpost, said police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).

Efforts are underway to trace his address and other family details, he added.
