Dengue continues to surge across the country, with two new deaths and 565 fresh hospital admissions reported in the last 24 hours, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room released the latest update on Tuesday, detailing the division-wise distribution of new cases.
Dhaka North City Corporation recorded the highest number of admissions with 127 patients, followed by Dhaka South with 88 and Chattogram with 82.
Another 95 patients were admitted from the Dhaka division outside the city corporation areas.
Barishal reported 51 new cases, Khulna 43, Mymensingh 45, Rajshahi 30, Rangpur 3 and Sylhet 1 patient.
During the same period, 578 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 93,196.
With the two latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 386.
So far, 95,577 people have been hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease this year.
