FENI, Dec 1: A Women Entrepreneurs' Fair and Pitha Festival has been organised in the district to celebrate the Youth Festival-2025.
The day-long fair, held on Sunday at the Bhasha Shahid Salam Community Centre in the Feni town, turned into a vibrant gathering with the participation of women entrepreneurs. Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque inaugurated the fair by cutting a cake.
Presided over by Feni's Deputy Director of the Department of Women's Affairs, Nasrin Akhtar, the event featured special guests including Feni Zilla Parishad Executive Officer Mahfuja Matin and Feni Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Sultana Nasrin Kanta.
Organised by the District Administration and the Department of Women's Affairs, Feni, the fair was attended by Women Affairs Officers from various upazilas: Momena Begum (Chhagalnaiya), Tarin Bashar (Parsuram), Nargis Akhtar (Sonagazi), and the Department of Women's Affairs, Feni's Programme Officer Idris Ullah.
At the Women Entrepreneurs' Fair, 20 stalls showcased and sold furniture and cosmetics made by women, along with an array of colourful pithas (traditional rice cakes).
