BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Zahid Hossain said on Saturday that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be treated in Bangladesh for now, and if her physical condition improves, the matter of taking her abroad will be considered.
During a briefing in front of Evercare Hospital on Saturday night, he said, "Khaleda Zia's condition is unchanged, but she is able to receive medical treatment."
Stating that Khaleda Zia will be treated at Evercare Hospital, he added, "For the sake of her advanced treatment, a team of doctors from several renowned hospitals including America, China, Singapore and Saudi Arabia is treating her."
Dr. Zahid said the issue of going abroad depends on her physical health, and the rest will be seen if she recovers. He added that it was decided to keep her in Evercare on the advice of UK and USA doctors, and her treatment has been going on under their supervision for the past few days. Later, after further tests, she was transferred to the CCU.
