NOAKHALI, Nov 29: A views-exchange meeting between journalists and BNP-nominated candidate for Noakhali-4 Md. Shahjahan was held on Thursday.
The meeting took place at the Noakhali Press Club auditorium at 11 am. The session began with a prayer for the health and long life of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The prayer was led by Harunur Rashid Azad, Member Secretary of the District BNP, at the proposal of Md. Shahjahan.
At the meeting, former MP and BNP Vice-Chairman Md. Shahjahan outlined several development plans for Sadar and Subarnachar upazilas in light of the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.
He expressed his belief that while it might not be possible to implement all these plans in a short time, if they could be initiated and completed, the people of Noakhali would reap the benefits of this development.
He also emphasised the necessity of establishing a quality Press Club building in the Noakhali District town.
The views-exchange was attended by ABM Zakaria, Joint Convener of Noakhali District BNP; former general secretary Advocate Abdur Rahman; and leaders and activists from various tiers of the district, upazila, and municipal BNP, as well as its associated and affiliated organisations.
