Filmmaker Priyadarshan has sparked renewed buzz for his upcoming Hindi film Haiwaan by posting a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Saif Ali Khan and Mohanlal.
Announced in July, Haiwaan reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, with Priyadarshan later revealing that Mohanlal would make a surprise appearance. “His character will definitely be a surprise for the audience,” the director said earlier.
The new Instagram photo shows Priyadarshan on set with Saif and Mohanlal. Sharing the image, Mohanlal wrote: “Look at life and the way it turns... Here I am, on the shooting sets of HAIWAAN, working with the son of one of my biggest cricket heroes and my favourite film icon. Truly, God is kind.”
Mohanlal has reportedly completed filming his cameo, with production underway across Kochi, Vagamon, Ooty and Mumbai.
Priyadarshan and Mohanlal share a creative partnership dating back to Thiranottam (1978), followed by their first major success together, Poochakkoru Mookkuthi (1984).
Haiwaan, the Hindi remake of Mohanlal’s thriller Oppam, is produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. A release date has yet to be announced.
