BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Saturday that if anyone disagrees with any of the four referendum questions, there is no option to say 'no'.

He made this comment after giving financial assistance to sick radio artist Afroza Nizami on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in Shyamoli, Dhaka.

Rizvi said that if the referendum is created with too much complexity, it will not work.
He said 90 percent of people do not understand the real purpose of the referendum, so they remain confused.

He suggested making the referendum questions simple so that ordinary people can easily understand them.

The BNP leader also said that if there is no agreement, the referendum questions do not explain how people should express their opinion.

Rizvi added that many people in the country are suffering, but the state is not taking steps to reduce this suffering.

He said political parties and the government should focus on protecting people's rights instead of raising issues like referendums and PR.

Speaking about BNP's July Charter, he said it was not presented to the nation properly and needed to be made clearer.

Rizvi also claimed that the Awami League is trying to create chaos in the country using large amounts of money from India. He said they want to create a dangerous situation.

He added that the trial of Sheikh Hasina is a matter for the court, and people want justice for the killings.

He alleged that the country is being pushed into instability and that the "corrupt dictatorship" is planning conspiracies with support from a neighboring country.

Referring to incidents of burning cars and violence in Dhaka, Gazipur, and other places, he said.
