BTTC chairman Mainul Khan resigns

Chairman of Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission (BTTC) Mainul Khan has resigned 10 months ahead of his service term. 

He was appointed by the interim government on August 28 last year and his service tenure was until September next year.
Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman confirmed this information. He said Mainul Khan had already informally informed he wanted to retire voluntarily.

He recently sent his resignation letter to the Ministry of Public Administration. He also sent a copy to the Ministry of Commerce.

Mainul Khan is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah. According to the Government Order (GO) issued by the Ministry of Commerce on October 20, he has 20 days of leave from October 26 to November 14.

On Wednesday, Mainul Khan was asked via WhatsApp whether he had resigned. Although he saw the text message (screened), he did not respond.

Mainul Khan told his colleagues that has chosen a life of teaching and research and there is no age limit in this regard.
