Army chief urges ASC officers to be ready for 21st century challenges

Army Chief General Waker-uz-Zaman has called on officers of the Army Service Corps (ASC) to strengthen their skills and remain fully prepared to tackle the complex challenges of 21st century.

He made these remarks while speaking at 44th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Army Service Corps (ASC) on Tuesday at ASC Center and School (ASC&SC) of Jahanabad Cantonment in Khulna.

During discussions with ASC officers, the Army Chief also emphasized the corps’ technological advancement, research initiatives, professional skill development and future planning.

The event was attended by GOC, ARTDOC; Director General, BMTF; GOC, 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore Area; Chairman of the Army Welfare Organization; senior officials of Army Headquarters; the Commandant of ASC≻ all unit commanders of Bangladesh Army Service Corps and media representatives.

Upon arrival at ASC&SC, the Army Chief was welcomed by GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC); GOC, 55 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Jessore; and the Commandant of ASC&SC.
