CHATTOGRAM, NOV 10: Police have unraveled the mystery of the sensational murder case of businessman Abdul Hakim in the Madunaghat Bridge area of Hathazari police station in Chittagong district.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the incident so far. A large number of foreign firearms have also been recovered.
Chittagong District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Saiful Islam Santu gave this information at a press conference at the Chittagong District Superintendent of Police office at 3 PM on Monday.
Chittagong District Police Superintendent (SP) Md Saiful Islam Santu said, on the afternoon of October 7, when businessman Abdul Hakim reached the Madunaghat area while returning to Chittagong city in a private car from Hamim Agro Farm in Raozan, unknown assailants on a motorcycle came in front of his car and opened fire indiscriminately. He was shot and died on the spot.
He said, after that, on October 31, a drive was conducted in the Garib Ullah Para area of Bagowan Union under Raozan police station and Md Abdullah Khokon alias Langra Khokon was arrested. During interrogation, he admitted his involvement in the murder and later gave a confessional statement under Section 164 in the court.
