Operation Devil Hunt: 9 AL activists held in Kuakata

Police have arrested nine individuals, including members of the banned political organization, Awami League and others, during Operation Devil Hunt in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district on Sunday night.

Acting on a tip-off, police officials conducted drives from different areas under Kalapara and Mohipur police stations and arrested the suspects.

Kalapara Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Jewel Islam confirmed the incident and said that the arrested have been produced before the court on Monday.
They were arrested as part of Operation Devil Hunt, also involved arresting suspects in political cases and outstanding warrants and was related to drug cases, added the OC.
