GMP Commissioner Nazmul suspended

Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Commissioner M Nazmul Karim Khan, who was earlier withdrawn from his post, has now been placed under temporary suspension.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification on Monday through its Police-1 Branch, ordering the suspension "in the public interest."
The order stated, "As it is necessary and appropriate in the public interest to keep Md Nazmul Karim Khan, Commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (recently withdrawn to Police Headquarters), away from government service, he is hereby temporarily suspended under the provisions of the Government Service Act."
