The Supreme Court (SC) authority has banned outsiders from entering its compound, the International Crimes Tribunal area, the Attorney General's office, the Bar Association building, and the adjacent National Eidgah field to ensure the security of the apex court and nearby institutions.

An official notification signed by High Court Division Deputy Registrar (Administration and Judicial) Md Atickus Samad stated that the Bangladesh Supreme Court is the highest institution of the country's judiciary, where the Chief Justice and judges of both the Appellate and High Court Divisions conduct judicial functions.

"Several hundred thousand case records, including many important and high-profile cases, are preserved in the court. It has recently been observed that movement of outsiders and unidentified persons has increased in the National Eidgah and the fountain area adjacent to the main gate used by the Chief Justice to enter the Supreme Court," the notification added.
