Motorcyclist killed in Jhenaidah road mishap

A motorcyclist was killed in a road mishap at Shailkupa upazila of Jhenaidah district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Miraj Hossain, 22, son of Monirul Islam of Basudebpur village under Harinakundu upazila of the district.

According to locals, the incident occurred at around 3.30 PM on the Jhenaidah-Kushtia highway in Asannagar area when a bus hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving bike rider Miraj dead on the spot.

Shailkupa Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Masum Khan confirmed the death.
