Bangladesh Bank's Deputy Director Naim Rahman has been reported missing since Sunday, raising concerns over his wellbeing.

According to mobile tracking data, Naim Rahman's last known location was in the Sayedabad area of Dhaka at 12:53PM on Sunday.

It is understood that Naim had reported to his office as usual on Sunday morning.

However, he left the office shortly after 12PM, leaving behind his bag and ID card. At 12:53PM, he reportedly sent a final message to a colleague, indicating he was under extreme mental distress.

In the message, he requested assistance in securing a job for his younger sister, writing, "This is probably my last wish."

This has heightened fears that he may have gone missing voluntarily or could be the victim of an accident, according to UNB report.

Colleagues described Naim Rahman as a quiet and responsible official. They noted that he had recently been experiencing mental strain due to financial and family pressures.

Masum Billah, President of the Bangladesh Bank Officers' Welfare Council, Dhaka, and an Additional Director, said, "We are all searching for Naim Rahman. He is the only male member of his family. His mother, wife, daughter, and younger sister are waiting for him."

He urged the public, "If anyone sees him, please contact the nearest police station or officials of Bangladesh Bank immediately."

A General Diary (GD) has been filed regarding Naim Rahman's disappearance.

Police are conducting a search based on his last known mobile location and probable routes of travel. Authorities continue to appeal for any information that could assist in locating him.
