2 drown in B'baria pond

Two children died after drowning in a pond at Kuttapara North area under Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Md Takrim, 3, son of Akter Hossain of Kuttapara North and Md Adnan, 5, son of Arafat Mia of Uchaliapara village under the same upazila.

According to locals, the duo were playing beside a pond when they accidentally fell into the water.
Later, locals found their bodies floating in the pond and rushed them to Sarail Upazila Health complex where the on-duty doctors declared them dead.

Sarail Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Morshedul Alam Chowdhury confirmed the incident and said that the dead bodies were handed over to the families.
