5th Bangladesh FinTech Summit calls for innovation, collaboration and policy tuning

The Bangladesh's fintech arena took a significant leap forward with the 5th Bangladesh Fintech Summit 2025 being held in the city on Saturday. Powered by Prime Bank PLC and presented by Mastercard, the summit brought together industry leaders, policymakers and innovators un the one roof.

Held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on Saturday the summit's theme was "Future of Fintech: Digital, Decentralized, Democratize." This theme underscored the sector's shift towards a more inclusive and technologically driven financial ecosystem.

In his keynote address, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, emphasized the need for a robust fintech framework to bring its orderly development.
 
"To build a strong and inclusive fintech area, we must encourage innovation, strengthen policy readiness and deepen trust across the financial sector," he stated.

The summit featured a comprehensive agenda, including keynote sessions, panel discussions and insight sessions. These sessions explored the evolving landscape of digital finance, the role of regulatory modernization, and the importance of trust and interoperability in fintech.

Industry leaders, including Osman Ershad Faiz, Sheikh Aminur Rahman and Sopnendu Mohanty, shared their expertise on the opportunities and challenges of digital financial services. They emphasized the need for collaboration, long-term planning, and a shared commitment to innovation.

The summit was a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration. It brought together banking and fintech leaders, C-Suite executives, investors, regulators, technology experts, startup founders and academicians. 

The event was initiated by Bangladesh Fintech Forum and organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum, with Innovation Partner Bangladesh Innovation Conclave, Official Carrier Partner Turkish Airlines and PR Partner Backpage PR.

As Bangladesh's fintech sector continues to evolve, the summit highlighted the importance of staying ahead of the curve. With its strong lineup of speakers and thought-provoking discussions, the 5th Bangladesh Fintech Summit 2025 was a resounding success. 
The event set the stage for future growth, innovation and collaboration in the country's fintech area.
