Dear Sir,
Every year, countless young graduates enter the job market filled with hope and ambition. Unfortunately, many struggle to secure meaningful employment that reflects their education and abilities. Consequently, a large number turn to freelancing, ridesharing, delivery services, and other gig-based occupations. While these platforms offer flexibility and short-term income, they seldom provide job security, consistent earnings, or essential social benefits.
The gig economy has indeed opened new avenues, but it should not become a substitute for sustainable and dignified employment. The government, in collaboration with the private sector, must prioritize skill enhancement, vocational training, and digital literacy. Our youth need direction and long-term opportunities, not just temporary means of survival.
Bangladesh's greatest strength lies in its vibrant youth. If their energy and creativity remain unutilized, it would be a grave waste of potential. It is high time for policymakers to treat this issue with utmost seriousness and ensure a future where every young citizen can work with dignity, stability, and hope.
