IU inks MoU with Islami Bank to launch e-payment system

The Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC to introduce a campus-wide e-payment system, enabling students to pay all types of university fees and other payments online.

The signing ceremony took place on Saturday at 3:00 pm in the Vice-Chancellor’s conference room.

The MoU was signed by IU Treasurer Professor Dr Jahangir Alam on behalf of the university and by Dr Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director and CHRO, on behalf of Islami Bank. The event was presided over by Shafiul Azam, Executive Vice President and Head of the Jashore Zone of Islami Bank. IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah attended as the chief guest, along with Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Yeaqub Ali and other university officials.
Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah expressed satisfaction over the initiative, saying, “After a long wait, the demand for a digital payment system for students is finally being fulfilled. With Islami Bank responding to our call, the long-cherished expectation of our students is now becoming a reality.”

The service is expected to be available to students from next week, providing a convenient and efficient platform for all campus payments.
