Toddler drowns in Bhola pond

A toddler died after drowning in a pond at Lalmohan upazila in Bhola district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Huzaifa, 1.5, son of Md Saiful Islam, a resident of Lalmohan municipality.

According to family sources, Huzaifa was playing in the yard when he accidentally fell into a nearby pond unnoticed.
Later, family members began searching for him, found him floating in the pond, rescued and rushed him to Lalmohan Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Lalmohan Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Sirajul Islam confirmed the incident and said that no complaint has been lodged by the family in connection with the incident.
