Smuggled Indian goods worth Tk 72 lakh seized in Satkhira

Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB-33) has seized smuggled Indian goods worth Tk 72 lakh from different borderside areas of Satkhira district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of officials led by BGB-33 battalion conducted several raids at various locations along the Satkhira and Kalaroa border areas from October 31 to November 6, 2025 and seized smuggled Indian medicines worth Tk 507,000, sarees worth Tk 1,031,000, burqas worth Tk 73,000 and other smuggled goods worth nearly Tk 300,000 from those spots.

An official from BGB-33 battalion confirmed those incidents and said that the seized items were handed over to Satkhira Customs after following proper procedures.
