Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) has started distributing nomination forms ahead of 13th national parliamentary election.
The process was formally launched on Thursday evening at a press conference held at the party’s temporary central office at Banglamotor in Dhaka, where NCP Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary inaugurated the programme.
The event was organised by the party’s Central Election Steering Committee.
Nasir Uddin Patwary announced that nomination forms can be collected through three channels; directly from NCP central office, online or via the party’s chief organisers for northern and southern regions, as well as divisional secretaries.
He said the minimum price of a nomination form is Tk 10,000, though candidates may contribute more if they wish.
However, for July fighters, the price has been set at Tk 2,000.
Patwary assured that nominations would be given to qualified candidates through a transparent selection process, adding that a preliminary list of candidates will be published on November 15.
