The Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) will field candidates in all 300 parliamentary constituencies under the ‘Shapla Kali’ symbol in the upcoming national election, party convener Nahid Islam announced on Tuesday night.

In a video message to the nation, Nahid said the party expects to finalize its list of nominees within November.

“We are fully prepared for the election. Inshallah, NCP will contest in every constituency with the ‘Shapla Kali’ symbol,” he declared.

Nahid said the party had submitted all required documents to the Election Commission (EC) in June for registration but faced delays in securing its preferred symbol.

“After months of back-and-forth with the Election Commission, NCP finally obtained the ‘Shapla Kali’ symbol,” he noted.

He added that despite the delay, the party continued its outreach through the July campaign, building strong grassroots support across the country.

“We have worked tirelessly to mobilize public opinion for reform and justice,” he said.

Encouraging new leaders and professionals to join, Nahid said NCP is open to all citizens who aspire to practice honest and constructive politics.

“We will nominate capable, honest, and patriotic candidates in every seat to lead the reform movement and rebuild Bangladesh,” he said.

Nahid expressed confidence that the growing public support for NCP will be reflected in the upcoming polls, expected to take place in February.
