MYMENSINGH, Nov 4: Mosammat Fatema Akter (pseudonym), 15, is a ninth-grade student at N. N. Pilot High School, Muktagacha in Mymensingh.
On October 23 at 9 am, the victim left home for school and did not return. Later, her family searched extensively but could not find her.
The victim's mother, Mosammat Ayesha Begum, filed a General Diary at the Muktagacha Police Station (PS) and contacted the national emergency service '999' for legal assistance.
The national emergency service advised her to contact Armed Police Battalion (APBn)-2, Muktagacha, Mymensingh. An application was submitted to APBn-2 on 2 Nov 2025, requesting legal assistance to rescue the girl. Based on the applicant's plea and under the overall guidance of the Captain (Additional DIG) of APBn-2, Mohammad Kutubuddin, the Cyber Crime Cell of APBn-2, with the assistance of advanced information technology from the LIC/CIA Cell of APBn Headquarters, identified the victim's current location.
An operational team led by SI (Investigation)/ Mohammad Kamal Hossain of APBn-2 rescued the victim in good health from a place called Bhatipara under the Kotwali Model PS in Mymensingh 1:30 am on November 3 and handed her over to the Muktagacha PS.
