Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has postponed the nomination of Kamal Zaman Molla for the Madaripur-1 constituency (Shibchar upazila).

In a press release on Tuesday, signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the party confirmed the decision.

The release explained that during a press conference at BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Monday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had announced the party’s nominees for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections, including Kamal Zaman Molla for Madaripur-1.

However, due to unavoidable circumstances, the party has decided to postpone the nomination for Madaripur-1 seat and withhold the name of the candidate for now.
