The train services of Dhaka with Netrakona's Mohanganj has been halted for an hour as supporters of nomination deprived BNP leader Tayebur Rahman Hiron took position on Gauripur rail line.

Dhaka-bound Haor Express got stuck at the station as the protesters blocked the rail line around 9:30AM on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) released a preliminary list of candidates for 237 constituencies ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election where Hiron, former upazila chairman and upazila BNP convenor, did not include. Protesting that, Hiron's followers started protest since morning.
Mymensingh Railway Police Station OC Md Akhter Hossain said that police and involved officials managed to remove the protesters from the rail line to ease the communication.

From 10:30AM, Haor Express left for Dhaka.
