2 Pabna policemen shot by miscreants

Pabna: Two police members were shot by miscreants in Atghoria upazila on Wednesday morning.

Injured SIs Monir Hossain, 40, and Tofazzel Hossain, 40, were admitted to Pabna General Hospital.

Atghoria Police Station in-charge Faruk Ahmmed said, a team of police went to Dengarugram Bazer area around 11am wearing civil dress. There they found that a gang of miscreants moved suspiciously. Then they chased the gang.

At one stage, miscreants fired at the policemen and managed to escape the scene.

Additional Police Super (DSB) Shamima Akhter said, police recovered three foreign made pistols, a shutergun and a white car from the place.

Later, injured Monir Hosain was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College in a critical condition.
