The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunderstorms at many places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Mymensingh divisions over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 am on Thursday.
According to the morning bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected at most places in these divisions. Additionally, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at many places in Dhaka, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places in Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
Temperatures are expected to drop slightly, with daytime temperatures falling by 1–2°C and nighttime temperatures decreasing marginally across the country.
The Deep Depression over Andhra Pradesh and surrounding areas has weakened into a Depression, and then into a well-marked low-pressure area as of 6:00 am today. It is expected to move northwards and weaken further into a low-pressure area, BMD added.
Yesterday, the highest temperature was recorded at 35.8°C in Ramgati, while the lowest was 22.0°C in Tetulia. In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:21 pm today and rise at 6:04 am tomorrow.
