Clash between two villages erupts in Habiganj

HABIGANJ, Oct 29: A violent clash broke out between residents of two villages in Bahubal Upazila of Habiganj District on Tuesday.

The incident began at around 7 am, following a dispute between two young men from Bariuri and Bahubal villages over a personal issue involving a woman.

The dispute got bigger, leading villagers from both sides to engage in a violent clash, using locally made arms.
During the clash, Bahubal Bazar has been turned into a battlefield. Several business establishments were vandalised.

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubal Model Police Station Md Aminul Islam said that force have been deployed to the area and efforts are ongoing to control the situation.
