None of the students from 35 colleges under Rajshahi Education Board managed to pass the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination this year, which indicates a major setback for the institutions.
77,742 students have passed out of 1,34,143 candidates from eight districts under Rajshahi Board. Only 18 colleges under the board achieved a 100% pass rate.
This year, 59.40% of candidates passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board, marking a 21.84 percentage point decline compared to last year’s pass rate of 81.24%.
A total of 10,137 students secured GPA-5 this year, down from 24,902 last year, a decrease of 14,765 students. Meanwhile, 56,409 candidates failed the examinations.
Among the GPA-5 achievers, 5,682 were female and 4,455 male, with female students outperforming males both in GPA-5 results and overall pass rates.
The pass rate for male students stood at 50.69%, while female students achieved 68.69%.
