The historic ‘National July Charter, 2025’ is scheduled to be signed at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Buildingat 4:00 PM on Friday.

Chief Adviser and National Consensus Commission Chairman Dr. Muhammad Yunus will attend, along with other advisers and senior government officials.

An emergency meeting was held yesterday at the Foreign Service Academy to review final preparations. Leaders from major political parties—including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, National Citizen Party (NCP), Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Ganasanghati Andolan, JSD (RAB), Revolutionary Workers Party, and AB Party—participated in the discussions.
Commission Vice-Chair Professor Dr. Ali Riaz said that the charter represents a historic milestone, guiding political parties toward a shared commitment to state reforms. “It will also serve as a roadmap for revitalizing democracy through structural reforms,” he added.

The National July Charter 2025 was finalized after nearly eight months of consultations with political parties and experts. After minor corrections to an earlier draft, the Commission distributed the final version to all parties on October 14.
