Teenage girl killed in Tangail road accident

A teenage girl was killed in a road accident at Pakutia Khanpara area under Nagarpur upazila of Tangail district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Naureen Akhter, 15, daughter of Sohel Mia of Panchtarail village in Pakutia union. She was a Class 10 student of Pakutia Brindaban Radha Govinda High School.

The accident occurred when a bus of 'SB Link Paribahan' ran over Naureen, leaving her dead on the spot, said Rafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nagarpur Police Station.

The body will be handed over to her family members after completion of legal procedures, OC added.
