Bail bond will be sent online from October 12, said Law Adviser Asif Nazrul on Tuesday.

To ease the process for the accused, the interim government developed this system.

''After getting bail, a person has to go through 12 steps before being released, facing harassment, sometimes paying bribes. Once the system is launched, a single click will send the bail order directly from the court to the jail.''
Asif Nazrul added, from Wednesday, the bail bond will be sent online, he added.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the internship programme of the Attorney General's Office held at the Supreme Court Auditorium.

''The law ministry has carried out several reforms, entirely on our own. The online bail bond system will be launched Wednesday.''
