Zarif Abrar emerges champions

Bangladesh's Zarif Abrar emerged boys' singles champion in the Rajshahi World Tennis Tour Junior J-30 competition beating Napat Pattanalerphan of Thailand 7-6 (3), 6-4 in the final held in Rajshahi tennis complex on Friday.

In the boys' doubles event, Ariyaphol Leekul and Napat Pattanalertphan pair of Thailand beat Gowtham Shanmugasundaram of India and Arya RC Thirumurthi of USA pair 7-6, 7-0 in the final.

In the girls' singles event, Zijie Yang of China beat Aaraa Asasaal Azim of Maldives 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 in the final while Hanyu Wang and Zijie Yang pair of China beat their compatriot Tanran Dong and Zican Yang pair 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 in the final.

This is the first time that a player from Bangladesh has become a champion in the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior J-30 Group. This is a matter of pride for the Bangladesh Tennis Federation and Bangladesh Tennis.

A total of 38 boys and 20 girls from 10 countries, including host Bangladesh, Australia, China, India, Japan, Maldives, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and America participated in the competition. "BSS
