A delegation from Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) paid a courtesy visit to German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Rüdiger Lotz, on Thursday.
The meeting took place at German Embassy in the capital.
On behalf of NCP, Joint Convener and Head of Foreign Affairs Cell, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, officially welcomed the Ambassador to Bangladesh.
The delegation also included Joint Convener Nusrat Tabassum, Joint Member Secretary Alauddin Mohammad, members Tahsin Riaz and Saif Mostafiz and Joint Chief Coordinator Navid Nawroz Shah.
During the meeting, Ambassador Lotz inquired about the context of July mass uprising, progress on reform initiatives, the upcoming national elections and NCP’s vision for a “New Bangladesh.”
NCP leaders shared details of their 24-point manifesto outlining their roadmap for the country’s future.
Both sides expressed a shared interest in strengthening the longstanding political and economic relations between Germany and Bangladesh.
In addition, NCP leaders requested the Ambassador to consider simplifying the visa process for Bangladeshi students aspiring to pursue higher education in Germany.
