Farmer electrocuted in Khulna

A farmer died after electrocution at Dakop upazila in Khulna district on Monday afternoon.


The deceased was identified as Milton Bakchi, 26, son of Dilip Bakchi, a resident of Khona village under Pankhali union in the upazila.


According to locals, Milton was electrocuted while attempting to unplug a wire inside his house at around 4 PM.


Later, his wife entered the room and found Milton lying on the floor, screamed and rushed him to Dakop Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors pronounced him dead.


Pankhali Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Sheikh Sabbir Hossain confirmed the death.
