Woman held for abducting child in Ctg

Police have arrested a woman in connection with abducting a child and rescued a child from Mansurabad area under Doublemooring Police Station in Chattogram district on

The arrested is Seema Akhtar, 32. She was detained during a raid near Cumilla Railway Station area on Saturday night, and the abducted child was safely rescued from her custody.

According to police, acting on intelligence and technological surveillance, police conducted drives in Dhaka and Cumilla districts and arrested Seema with the abducted child from Cumilla Railway Station area on Saturday night.

Doublemooring Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Babul Azad confirmed the incident.

Seema Akhtar allegedly abducted the child of Rubel, a resident of a rented house in Mansurabad, on the afternoon of October 1. Following the incident, the child's father filed a complaint with Doublemooring Police Station.
