The Election Commission (EC) will hold a daylong dialogue with media representatives on Monday as part of its preparations for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Md. Asadul Haque, Assistant Director of the EC’s Public Relations Department, confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 5).

According to Asadul Haque, the session with television media representatives will begin at 10:30 AM, while the meeting with print and online journalists will start at 2:30 PM. Around 40 media professionals are expected to participate in the two rounds of discussion.

The EC is also scheduled to hold meetings with women leaders and election experts on October 7. Later, dialogues will be held with July Movement representatives and political parties.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the commission will consider and implement the opinions and suggestions gathered from these dialogues.

The EC began its series of election dialogues on September 28 with civil society members, academics, and intellectuals. However, more than half of the invited civil society representatives were absent on the opening day, where 30 guests had been invited.
