Youth commits suicide in Barguna

A youth died after committing suicide by taking pesticides at Amtali upazila in Barguna district.

The deceased was identified as Sifat Fakir, 20, son of Sona Mia Fakir of Pujakhola village in the upazila.

According to locals, Sifat woke up on Saturday morning and completed some household chores. He then went into his room and started vomiting.
Later, family members rushed him to Amtali Upazila Health Complex where he died while undergoing treatment.

Amtali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Dewan Jaglul Hasan confirmed the incident and said that the body has been sent to Barguna General Hospital for an autopsy.

An unnatural case has been filed in this incident, added the OC.
