Dhaka Bank PLC has organized the closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) in Dhaka.
The initiative was implemented with the support of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Bangladesh Bank (BB) under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), an initiative of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh (GOB), says a press release.
The ceremony was chaired by A K M Shahnawaj, Managing Director (Current Charge), Dhaka Bank PLC, while Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME and Special Programmes Department, Bangladesh Bank, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Among others, Md. Nazrul Islam, Program Director, SICIP & Additional Director, SME and Special Programmes Department, Bangladesh Bank; Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and CEMO, Dhaka Bank PLC; Md. Mahbubur Rahman Palash, Head of MSME and Emerging Business Division, Dhaka Bank; Md Ayub Ali, Joint Director, SME and Special Programs Department, Bangladesh Bank; Khalid Mahmood Khan, Co-founder of Kay Kraft and Ms. Fahmida Chowdhury, EVP & Principal, Dhaka Bank Training Institute along with other senior officials from Dhaka Bank, were also present.
During the event, certificates were awarded to 25 new entrepreneurs who received training under this program. In addition, 5 selected entrepreneurs were honored with crests.
