RMA Rashid, a visionary technologist and social entrepreneur made the remarks in a recent interview. He spent over a decade blending innovation with social responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on both technology and community development in Bangladesh.
A Microsoft Certified Professional and CompTIA A+ certified, Rashid began his journey focusing on scalable technological solutions that address societal challenges.
In 2009, he introduced the Automated Hydro Control System, allowing farmers in remote areas to monitor cultivation through mobile devices, a move that enhanced agricultural productivity and operational efficiency.
That same year, he conceptualized Wireless Power Supply, a forward-looking technology now being explored by the government, demonstrating Rashid's ability to align innovation with national infrastructure development.
At just 19, Rashid launched a tech-based enterprise offering free websites and software to rural communities, including free POS software that empowered nearly 500 small businesses across villages, strengthening the SME sector.
As part of his corporate social responsibility, he has also distributed low-cost laptops to students nationwide, investing in human capital and digital literacy Rashid has consistently leveraged his expertise to influence policy and industry standards. His articles on VoIP business and digital driving license reforms have shaped government policy, while his initiatives in cybercrime awareness and ethical hacking training, starting in 2011, have contributed to stronger digital governance frameworks.
Beyond technology, he has championed social causes such as gender-based violence awareness and educational support for underprivileged children through his social business project Store Your Data - Save a Life.
A member of BASIS, Rashid actively mentors tech professionals and young innovators, including three teams participating in the 2025 NASA International Space Apps Challenge, reflecting his commitment to nurturing talent for the national and global tech markets.
"My mission is to keep innovating and inspiring others to work for a technologically-safe Bangladesh. If I get opportunity, I would spread initiatives globally," he says, emphasizing a vision that blends commercial growth with societal impact.
