20, including policemen injured in Gopalganj clash

Twenty individuals, including four policeman were injured in a clash that erupted between two groups during a meeting at Tungipara upazila in Gopalganj district on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred when a dispute resolution meeting escalated into a confrontation. Two groups from Sriramakandi and Patgati Sarder Para engaged in a clash with local arms.

According to locals, two groups got engaged in a clash over a dispute of coconut selling, which caused at least twenty individuals to be injured in the conflict.

Later, the injured were taken to Tungipara Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

Tungipara Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Jahidul Islam confirmed the incident and said that the situation is now under control.
