The draw for the Federation Cup 2025-26 was held on Saturday at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House in Motijheel, Dhaka. Among top rivals, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Bashundhara Kings, and Fortis Football Club were drawn in the same Group-B, making it a group of death.

A total of ten Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clubs will compete in the tournament, which begins on 23 September 2025 and concludes on 10 April 2026.

The participating clubs have been divided into two groups. Group A includes Dhaka Abahani, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society, Brothers Union, Fakirerpool Young Men's Club, and PWD Sports Club. Group B features Mohammedan Sporting Club, Bashundhara Kings, Fortis Football Club, Bangladesh Police Football Club, and Arambagh Krira Sangha.

Matches will be staged at two venues, the Cumilla District Stadium and the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka. Two matches will be played each day during the group stage, with most fixtures scheduled for Tuesdays except for two.

The schedule has been arranged in line with international commitments, allowing for the AFC Challenge League matches, the national team camp, and the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers to take place between September and November this year.

At the programme, the remaining personal and team trophies from the last Bangladesh Premier League and Bangladesh Championship League were also handed over.

In the press briefing, the BFF Senior Vice-President confirmed that, following a decision by the Executive Committee, no member of the committee will be permitted to enter the field during matches. This measure has been introduced to avoid any conflict of interest, as many committee members are also representatives of BPL clubs.

The Federation Cup remains one of Bangladesh's key domestic competitions, and this edition is expected to attract strong interest from clubs, players, and supporters alike.
