Faruk Ahmed appointed new DNCRP DG

Faruk Ahmed, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Monday (September 8), deputing him to the Ministry of Commerce under which the directorate operates.

He replaces Grade-1 officer Mohammad Alim Akhter Khan, who retired recently, leaving the post vacant.

Meanwhile, Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) Mohammad Hasan Arif has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
