2 killed in stampede in Ctg Miladunnabi rally

Two people were killed in stampede at a procession named Jashan-e-Julus, marking the celebration of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, in Chittagong city on Saturday noon.

Four others injured were admitted Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH).

The deceased were identified as Ayub Ali, 60, and Saiful Islam, 13.

According to the hospital director Brig Gen Mohammad Taslim Uddin, six injured people were brought to the hospital where two were declared dead by the duty doctors. One critical patient is receiving treatment at the ICU. 

It was learnt that hundreds of people took part in the Miladunnabi rally which began at 9AM from Alamgir Khankah.
