Classes and examination at Chittagong University (CU) resumed on Wednesday (September 3) amid fewer presence of the students.
Earlier, the authorities announced the suspension of the classes and exams after several clashes between students and local residents.
It was learnt that nine departments are holding exams today. But it was seen that the presence of the students are fewer in number in whole campus.
Prof Dr. Amirul Islam, President of the Department of Economics, said, "The academic calendar has ended in many departments, so exams have begun. Classes are nearing the end in some departments. That's why, the attendance of the students seems to be low."
The university's Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan said that from now, the classes will be held regularly. As per rules, the injured will also be able to take part in the exams.
