The deceased were identified as Shahin Islam of Panchagarh district, Ibrahim of Gaibandha district, and Firoz of Rangpur district.

According to locals, two workers were cleaning a septic tank at Sabuj Kazi’s house when one went inside and failed to return around 3:00 PM. The second worker called Shahin from a nearby building for help. When all three entered the tank one by one and did not come out.

Being informed, four fire service units arrived around 4:00 PM and began rescue operations.
