Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader on Thursday claimed that "evil is being nurtured and good is being suppressed" in the country, asserting that the present government has completely failed to govern. He urged advisers to step down if they are unable to perform their duties properly.

Speaking at the party's central office in Dhaka while exchanging Janmashtami greetings with members of the Hindu community, Quader said, "According to Sanatan Dharma, Shri Krishna appeared to suppress evil and protect good. Now the evil is being nurtured and the good is being suppressed in our country. "

Quader accused the administration of failing to ensure the rule of law, alleging that notorious criminals and murder convicts are being released from jail while innocent citizens and political opponents remain behind bars under fabricated charges.

Quader also accused expelled party leaders of conspiring with the ruling establishment to undermine his leadership. "Some leaders are trying to unite expelled members and form a Jatiya Party with government support.

That will never succeed. The party leadership cannot be achieved by holding councils with hired people and violating the constitution," he said.

Quader also voiced concern over rising insecurity among religious minorities, particularly Hindus. "We are receiving complaints that Hindu homes are being attacked and set on fire. People are terrified. Allegations claim Hindus are aligned with the Awami League, making them targets. We protest the government's attitude and will not hesitate to sacrifice to protect minority interests," he said.

Emphasizing equality, Quader added, "We want a society with no discrimination. All citizens are owners of this country. A society where minorities do not feel safe cannot be called civilized." He urged the Hindu community to unite and assured them of his party's support in their struggle.

Expressing faith in the judiciary, he concluded, "I believe respected judges have taken an oath for justice, and they will ensure it."
